You change 20% on any new person who signs up on the app and pays. You steal that from the business owner. It’s an excessive money grab.
Would this update fix this issue? I have to sign back in 3-4 times per week, every week. I’m an instructor and this is not ideal.
I wouldn’t be able to balance work/ family life without Mindbody!
I’ve had to use a software at multiple different. Massage Studios and scheduling can be absolute nightmare when you’re dealing with your own personal schedule or working for multiple companies.
How does such a large business have such an incompetent development team? This app will not show me new teachers that have been assigned classes unless I delete and redownload. Better to go with Mariana Tek
For the life of me, I don’t know how this has such a high rating. It log me out of the app every. single. time. I open it. It’s tiring and tedious. Lame.

This app is an absolute nightmare. I genuinely cannot understand how MindBody has the audacity to call itself functional. The interface is clunky, outdated, and feels like it was designed in the Stone Age. Trying to book an appointment or manage anything is a full-time job. It glitches, freezes, and kicks you out constantly. And don’t even get me started on the login process—it’s like a labyrinth of frustration that leads to nowhere. For an app that’s supposed to make life easier, it does the exact opposite. It’s so bad that I’d rather call places and schedule appointments manually like it’s the nineties. Truly offensive that this app exists in twenty twenty-four and charges businesses a premium for this level of mediocrity. Save your time, your sanity, and your money. Run far, far away.
We’ve used Mindbody for our fitness and massage clients for over a year now. Because their builds me system is made from multiple parts that they’ve pieced together over the years, things don’t communicate well and we’ve had nearly daily issues. Clients buying a package and not being able to apply it to classes; clients paying in the app and us not being able to see that they’ve paid even though it shows on their banking statement; classes not being live; coaches not able to see how many people are registered for a class. The list goes on. And when we just tried to cancel, we were told that our annual subscription just renewed (without any reminder or heads up) and we are stuck paying another 12 months of this crappy program despite transferring all of our services to another system. We will not be utilizing MindBody at all and we’re still having to pay them. Just feels like they’re pulling one over on us and as a business owner I would never do this to a client. Mindbody is not a trustworthy company and their system is pretty awful if you pride yourself on being by able to provide a quality experience for your clients.
I was missing thousands of dollars multiple times and I had to advocate for myself to find my money and answers. They conveniently called it a “bug” everytime. Horrible customer service, and lying!!! Don’t make the same mistake I did!
Only good for an overview of your business. Use the Desktop website for any real work.
This app is pretty usefull, but as with people always could be improving. To be able to do SOAP notes in the app would be so helpful. Currently having to go to the link in the app, then login on the browser, then wait to get to appointments and THEN tap on SOAP takes up what precious time that I have in between appointments. Please Let the IT team integrate this feature sooner rather than later.
The app is garbage. The support is even worse.
I am an assistant manager of a dance studio and I thought this app was ready for 2020 in 2019. And it has allowed us to manage our client base and space remotely very well. But we ran into one almost disaster twice in the last 2 weeks. In the app, you can only see 4 columns of teachers/classes. What happens when you have 5? You almost double book a space is what. Even when we turn our phones to landscape you can only see 4 columns for each day. This is a 4 star deduction until it is fixed.

Literally broke the app, it crashes upon opening
The app is constantly crashing and logging me out. Then making me reset my password constantly, I’m starting to run out of passwords. Just a sloppy app with tons of bugs and crashes
The newest update doesn’t even sign me in. It takes me to the sign in, I sign in, it takes me back to the sign in page.
The app is too laggy. I cannot book reoccurring/standing appts. I cannot mass delete appts. The UI is just not user friendly

After signing and expressing concern in my clientele using the app because majority of them don’t use smart phones and this was my main concern in signing up . I was explain that I can cancel any time after use of 90 days if it doesn’t work out for my business . After two days of purchasing and trying the onboarding process. It wasn’t for me and my business at the time. Now I’m getting told I have to wait a year to cancel and that i didn’t even use the software so I can’t cancel. So now I’m Being told I have to pay for something I don’t use.

Only thing I use the app for is checking staff schedule occasionally and adding client relationships. Since the app allows you to add multiple relationships between two profiles at once whereas the web only lets you add one at a time and takes you to a different page after you add one. Even so, the app constantly crashes when I’m doing these few things. Usual when switching client profiles, but does it at other times as well. Very annoying to have it just close down after every couple of actions I take. Good features, poor execution.
Always, consistently, reliably a horrible app with bugs and glitches significant enough to make day-to-day usage a headache.
Crashes when I try to search for my employer.
Me and other instructors cannot see a particular class on the Biz side but the class is on the app to book. ?! I can see this particular class on my iPad. I called in, spent a long time on the phone with a friendly woman, Ann. She sent me several links, we logged out and back in. We tried this and that. She apologized and was going to transfer me to someone with more experience. I kindly asked that she just have them check into it and call me if there is a fix. Frustrating …
Ever since I started using the Mindbody app for my business, it has been nothing but problems. Wrong prices, classes that disappear from the schedule, inability to process payments, inability for clients to create accounts, and more. The back end software is difficult to use and time consuming. I have complained to the company repeatedly and they have horrible customer service. They locked me into a second year after telling me that I was only required to have a year contract for the first year. All they care about is making money and the small business owner is of no concern to them.
To complicate to use and the credit card reader never works with the Bluetooth
Fitness instructor here. This app charges an a much higher fee for restricting a member’s access to classes. When our corp. contract expired with MindBody, we no longer had restrictions in place that helped us slowly funnel members into the more advanced classes once they’ve progressed. Want to know what happens members unknowingly register for classes that are too advanced for their physical abilities? It makes for a higher injury risk to the member as well as a liability risk for the instructor & the facility. The instructors had to spend a lot of time (unpaid, btw) to regulate each client individually for every class they teach (going forward) because this app wants to charge a much higher fee to add in restrictions. Why is there a separate fee for safety?! If you buy a car that has a gas pedal, you shouldn’t have to pay extra for the brakes.
App glitches often, customer support is really poor and available mainly for Europe customers with scarce availability for the business owners in the western hemisphere. Even if you buy 12 months subscription they’ll keep automatically renewing it for another 12 months, without possibility of cancellation during that period. Basically if you give them cc you don’t have access to it anymore. Supposedly you can give them notice 30 days before contract expiration, I just did let’s see if they keep charging me afterwards.
I had to close my business after 7 years and Mindbody is refusing to stop charging me. From Sept - March, they will be charging me $200/month every month for no reason. The worst and the most horrible vendor / company I have come across with no heart after 7+ years of running my own business. Would never recommend it to anyone and will plan on letting the whole world know what how horrible Mindbody is.
Checking people in needs to be faster. Suggest maybe being able to check multiple people at once. App crashes as well
Are used to use fitDEGREE before switching over to MINDBODY. I wish I never dead. I honestly pay about three times as much and everything with this app and program is extremely laborious and has a lot of bugs.
Since doing the latest Apple update - I am no longer receiving notifications even though everything is set to receive notifications. And customer service is a joke.
Absolutely HATE this app. I’ve never had more difficulty with username/password and sign in. It’s total garbage and lacks obvious features. Amazes me how successful and widely used it is. Garbage.
They promise the world, and far under deliver! Many of the things I was told the system does, and reasons to upgrade, don’t work or are further upgrades to outside services that are almost as expensive as this platform. Training time is WAY longer than they tell you, and you can’t go faster because everything is outsourced out of America and the people are supposedly so busy you can’t get more than one appointment per week. Mind boggling how bad our first few months have been so far!
Mindbody started sending emails and giving a Nift gift card with out my consent. This caused so much confusion. Half member thought it was a scam other half came trying to redeem it in my gym. Since it had my logo on it I hadn’t them use it . I complained to the company demanding to be taken off their list and I’m still getting members who get the scam gift card without my consent.
Beware, they will lie over the phone to you on how my body business easily integrates with any software and website. Upon hearing these things I was inclined to go through with mindbody for my business. The support specialist that they give you are from the Philippines, which wouldn’t be a problem if they knew how to integrate MINDBODY with my business. None of the stuff they said over the phone was true. It does not work well with my business. I’ve had a MINDBODY for now two months, even though I’m paying a lot of money a month I can’t even use it because it doesn’t even work with my software/website. When I further complained about this. They let me know that they denied my request for cancellation. They don’t work to help your business, they are destroying mine. I’m having financial hardships just because of it and they don’t seem to care at all., would definitely not recommend.
Find another third party to run your business with. Cancelling with these guys is a pain and customer service is just waiting on hold and nobody with real answers. I emailed in to cancel my billing and they told me that I wasn’t eligible to cancel yet and that I needed to call back or email within 30 days of (future date, months later, when I WOULD be eligible to cancel). I had figured they would cancel it for me when that date arrived but it auto-renewed. What kind of predatory billing is this? Why couldn’t they just schedule my cancelation when I told them I wanted out? Why the necessity to jump through a million hoops just to stop getting charged??

The app doesn't allow you to write notes for each client. There's an option to write notes but you can’t actually do it. i can view notes just fine. but adding notes is an issue i’m a stylist.
I have delete this app and re download it every other week. Constantly getting incorrect error messages or the app won’t allow bookings. Most of the time the schedule just never loads.
This app is absolutely horrible. Crashes all the time and is not easily navigable. One of the worst apps I’ve ever used especially when you add in that people actually spend money on these programs.
The app hardly works and their website is just as bad, I hate using this service for work and I’ve been thinking of quitting just because of how inconsistent and unreliable their services are and I can’t plan my work day unless I can see my schedule. I literally just downloaded the app to submit this review and I’m going to delete it right after this.
As an instructor I have been unable to use the business app for over two months now. Each time I check in with MINDBODY, they tell me it’s a “known issue”. Two months is absolutely unacceptable. Logging in to MB on Chrome on my iPhone to sign clients into my classes is so slow and a horrible UI. I cannot see all of my classes for the week as the web version only shows a limited number of classes. I also cannot go back after class and log clients in if they showed up late. Do better MINDBODY!!!!!!!
Used to work on my iPad and phone now it doesn’t any more. Not reliable.
You really need to fix your app. I can’t even log in as an employee because of all the glitches associated with it. It’s been going on for 2 months now. It’s always a guessing game…is it going to kick me out again and prevent me from logging in or will it make life easy today..
